Your support enables Hillel of Silicon Valley to actively seek out and welcome students to their Jewish home on campus. Located on campuses where Jewish students make up a small percentage of the total students, Hillel of Silicon Valley is vital in establishing a Jewish face on campus. We must be there, not only for our Jewish students but to educate and inform the rest of the campus community about Judaism and to stand up and speak out for Israel and against anti-Semitism.

SO, WHAT DO WE DO?

• Israel programming -advocacy training, cultural events, movie nights, Hebrew classes, speakers, birthright trips and missions to Israel,
• Shabbat programming - weekly Shabbat dinners, BBQ Shabbat lunches at Foothill and DeAnza, Havdallah at the Beach, Shabbatons, speakers, community
• Tikum olam - Bone Marrow Drive, record story tapes in multiple languages for blind children around the world, raise awareness and funds for Darfur, support victims of natural disasters and terrorists
• Cultural Programming - Jewish Heritage Month at Foothill College, performances, movies, poetry readings, art exhibit
• Holiday Programming - Programs for all Jewish holidays are held on every campus, Apple Fair, Make your own Shofar, Hookah in the Sukkah, Hanukkah Fair, Lag b'omer camping trip
• Educational Programming - Speakers, debates, movies, classes
• Jewish Fun - Skiing camping, cooking, playing, hanging out, meeting soulmates and best friends

There are no dues or membership fees and 99.99% of our events are free
