Ways to Give
There are many ways to include Hillel of Silicon Valley in your estate plans, including:
Stock or Securities
To make a gift of stock or securities, provide your stockbroker or accountant with Hillel of Silicon Valley’s Tax ID #: 77-0575153
Gifts by Bequest
To leave a charitable gift in your will or revocable living trust, include a clause directing a gift to Hillel of Silicon Valley. You can leave a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate. If you already have a will, you can add a charitable bequest through a supplement, called a codicil. If it’s time to update your will, you can include a gift to Hillel of Silicon Valley in the updated version.
General or Specific Bequest
You can make a general bequest to provide for the most immediate needs of Hillel of Silicon Valley. Alternatively, you can designate a gift to our Endowment Fund, where your contribution is invested to create a permanent annual source of income for Hillel in the future.

Naming opportunities are still available in the new Hillel House. The beautiful, spacious, gathering space in the backyard and the administrative offices have not yet been named.

Charitable Gift Annuities
A charitable gift annuity is an arrangement where you transfer assets, such as cash or appreciated securities, to Hillel of Silicon Valley in exchange for guaranteed payments for the rest of your life. These income-producing gifts provide donors with various benefits, including charitable income tax deductions, potential estate tax savings, fixed lifetime payments, tax-free income for a period, and potential capital gains tax savings.
IRAs and Retirement Plans
Naming Hillel of Silicon Valley as the beneficiary of your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) or your employer’s pension plan may offer significant benefits to both you and your heirs. You retain full control of these funds during your lifetime. After your death, these assets qualify for a charitable deduction and may reduce estate taxes.
Gift of Life Insurance
A gift of life insurance can be made by designating Hillel of Silicon Valley as the owner and beneficiary of a new or existing policy. Donors receive an income tax deduction for the policy’s value when the gift is made, as well as deductions for future premium payments each year.
